What would you guys recomend for a 90 Gallon Tropical Freshwater tank? I'm a Newb, forgive the stupid questions.

1. Sump & Canister? (Yes / No) If yes why?
2. Just Canister? (Yes / No) If yes why?
3. Just a Sump? (Yes / No) If yes why?
4. What canister do you guys recomend?

I do have a partial sump, 29 Gallon, with just the bio-balls, but nothing else. Any other filtration recomendations, please fee free to recomend. Hopefully I'd like to have alittle sand/gravel on the bottom, but I am hoping to not have to vacume it out every week. And I'd also like to be able to use this setup later if I decide to try the salt setup in a couple of years.

imo, do a wet dry, amazing water quality results. worth every penny you spend on them

I like wet/dry filters for certain uses, and canisters for most of my tanks. I would recommend either an eheim pro 2, or classic.

get an aquaclear cus at petsmart u can buy one for 40 somethin bucks. just go to www.petsmart.com and print out their online price for an aquaclear 500 and bring it to the counter and make em mad hahhaha.

I use the aqua clear 500's myself. I have two on my 110g tall. My tank is crystal clear, and doing great. The only thing I had to do, was to buy some 1" tubing at petsmart, in order to lengthen the intakes.
