I tried to buy 5pcs when they were small (about 3-4") and I only have 1 left.

I would like to try another run at schooling maybe 3 together... what size do you guys think would be a better size?
I want to take in the fact that when they are small, they are much more fragile so what size would be best to attempt the school???

Say 6-8"??

I know... dont want to drop 450 on a test again :( (at that size)

If I try bigger ones, the price goes up and it will pass 450 to get 4 more

Id rather try one more time with 2 bigger ones and put them straight into the 300 instead of growing them out in a 50gl

So what size do you guys think Aros are out of the "Fragile" stage?

regarding the fragile stage west, i will say past the 4" mark if you're not a beginner on arows (which im sure you're not..;))

regarding how many and how big of a tank and how many in it?
IME, leis can be aggressive as well as any other aro. rich's last batch of baby black(2.5"), i bought 5, in less thank 2 weeks, 3 were killed and i had to sell the remaining 2 coz ill just end up with one. prior to that, rich had 6-8" blacks and got 3 of those in a 150gal. i still have all them in that same tank right now and they're at 18". so maybe what im trying to say is, it could still depend on the fish.

i told you about my mean lei that i had to trade right?:(

Yup, you told me. Rich also has one of my Leis that I sold back to him with his other Lei... Dont know why I got rid of her/him... she/he was a gentle giant

Im not sure but I think im going to pick up 2 more and T R Y to some how seperate them in diff tank till they are about 7". If I can beef them up and give them a lil girth, I think they will be able to take a punch if they fight or get bit from the big VATF... We'll see what happends (I just hope I can get 2 from another batch other than Richs this time)

goodluck bro! keep us posted.;)
