1: Jaguar Cichlid, Midas, Oscar
2: Jaguar, Green Terror, Jack Dempsey
3: Dovii & Jagaur
4: Midas, Green Terror, Oscar
5: Jaguar, Texas and Oscar

My tank is 110Gallons its a bit longer tank normal 70'' long. if you have any other stocking ideas please list them. i have all the fish in my tank right now but i unsterstand they grow fairly large so im going to reduce the number to 3/4. 110 would house a Jag by itself but this tank is longer than normal so they will have there own territory. only south/central american cichlids. btw can i have plants in with these fish?

I think option 2 might work. Either way all these options are risky.

I'd do a Terror, Dempsey. and Oscar. Your best bet.

BTW When Midas get big they'll kill ANY other fish and therefore are best kept solo.

will the midas kill my Jag also? the jag is my favourite fish . the midas i have is a real wuss even baby cons attack him. can i do Jag, male Midas and Oscar? or Jag , Midas and Texas? can i keep plants with these guys?

2 sounds good to me. I'd try and stray away from the meaner cichlids, (Dovii, Red Devil, Midas, Jag) they'll probably end up killing your other fish. I'm pretty sure a full grown, (around 2 foot), dovii wouldn't fit in a 110 anyway.. I personally like the Texas Cichlids more than the Oscars just because, to me, Texas are so much prettier. Anyway, you could also try these..

Oscar, Texas, GT
Texas, GT, JD

Under stocked is WAY better than Over stocked, and it'll give you some room to work with if you ever want to add more fish.

EDIT: You can try to add plants, usually they rip them up. Put rocks around the base of the plant to keep it from getting uprooted.

Thanks but the Jag is a must hes only 2.5'' now if i get the other fish a little larger than him will this lower his aggression? (if hes not the "Boss" ) i read that the texas are pretty aggressive also . how about this Jag , Texas , Midas or Jag, texas and JD. trying to avoid Oscars because i read that they produce the same amount of waste as turtle, thats alot of waste for a fish

Yeah lmao, they are gluttons, leave messes all over the tank and pump waste out constantly. So since the Jag is a must, you have to base your stocking around it. I would try Jag, Texas, GT, JD. The GT and JD won't get as big, but they look nice and they'll fill some space in the tank, The Texas gets pretty big but not as big as the jaguar. This way, the Jaguar will always remain the boss

lool you probably need 2-3 filters for a tank if you have oscars and you probably have to do a lot of water changes. okay i'll try that list. so theres no way a Jag and a midas can be housed in the same tank? my friends got some pretty blotchy ones , they would turn out nice. Jag , texas , midas? i don't really know how the jag could beat up/kill the Jag lol the jag has size and a larger mouth .

Might switch jack dempsey for the electric blue jack dempsey. But for my green terror experience :
- Firemouth = dead
- severum = dead
- blood parrot = dead
- blue jack dempsey = dead
- texas = remove just before and gived to lfs
- oscar = move up in other tank just before he kill them too.
- finally wich one works : silver dollars, pleco, buenos ares tetra, spike (boulengerella cuvieri, convict with a good spot too hide, Leoporus, ... so keep in mind he his the boss of your tank.
So conclusion green terror is a TERROR but so colorfull, intelligent and nice!

Oscar big and friendly fish easier too match.

Fish temperaments can range from passive to super aggressive, it depends on the fish, as well as the type of fish. Usually GT aren't that aggressive. If you want to do a Jad and Midas, I'd suggest keeping them the only two fish in the tank. It's usually the stress that really kills the fish. If it's constantly being bullied it'll eventually die.
