I have a super picky leichardti aro that loves his super worms.

So what is the best way to keep these guys semi-long term w/out stinking up the house and possibly breeding them?

Thanks in advance :)

Breeding supers in a pain. Google it.

We keep many thousands though. I like to keep them on egg crate in large tubs. This gives them a lot of surface area.

Keep them cool. Feed them cut up potatoes, apples, oranges for fluid. I also gut load them with various things like oats, corn meal, old bread, fresh veggies, etc.

Space - Large cheap tub
Food - Oatmeal
Water - Washed cutt potatos

I keep large numbers in large tuperware/rubbermaids with oatmeal, they do fine that way for me at least.

eBay. You can pick them up by the hundreds and low thousands on there. I don't think I've seen the auctions list more than $25 recently. Some of the vendors at expos sell bulk at decent prices, too. I'm sure there's even better places, too.

Sweet....that beats the $5.50 per 50 im paying now.

I put em in a little tub w/ the sawdust they were in and added some carrots and oatmeal.

I just found a site that sells zophobus worms(im guessing they are super worms), for $20 for a 1000ct.

On their site it says to remove their water source(carrots, potatoes or cricket water gel), after 2 hours. But it also says to put it on the bedding. I have mine off to the side.....in the little gate type things in my tub. I used an old tidy cats litter container. Yes i washed it.
