whats the best way to position powerheads?

My output puts out a lot of water, but I wanted a powerhead on the other side for extra air in the water. Where is the best place to put it and how do I position it properly? Also, how powerful of one do I need? Tank is 6x24x29 and 210 gallons. Also, do I need to airate the sump for the bacteria?

I use power heads to help keep debri stirred up and into the filter so that is kinda a trail and error thing. As far as air in the sump for the bacteria, it can't hurt but i don't think it's neccary.

Usually a sump provides enough gas exchange from the ample surface aggitation, for both fish and bacteria.
