Whats the biggest oscar you have seen?

I don't know for sure. I was very young. Maybe 8? It wasn't old age that killed him he developed hole in the head. We didn't know much about it back then. It was just something that some times Oscars developed. My guess was somewhere around 5 to 6 years old. My mom got him around palm size or a little smaller. I don't remember him then. I do remember he liked being petted and eating gold fish out of your hand, he'd suck them right out. He was very friendly. He would get so excited when you walked up to the tank we had to keep bricks on the top to keep him in when he got that excited. He was in with a gar and some other fish. I remember my mom was irritated at a red crab she had in a tank. It kept eating all the kulhi loaches, the Oscar got rid of the problem for us. He seemed really pleased with assisting. Lol I shouldn't laugh about that but I remember it being a pain to get out of that tank and the fact you couldn't keep anything with the crab. It would kill and eat part of every fish in the tank and then just leave the rest.

I didn't watch the video before I replied. That's how ours acted but I remember him being even more into pets. I've never had one react like that since. I haven't kept Oscars in a very long time now.
