I saw at a lfs today what I thought was a Nimbochromis fuscotaeniatus, marked on the tank as Hap. fuscotaeniatus. Are they the same or was it a typo?

All of the five recognized species of Nimbochromis (fuscotaeniatus, linni, livingstonii, polystigma, and venustus) were formerly within the genus Haplochromis. That's why they're still referred to as "Malawi haps" even though they're now in the genus Nimbochromis.
