whats the deal with the 9 new cichla species?

are you talking about the sticky i take it. They just officially named 9 species of pbass, they wern't really a new discovery.
 
and I believe Vazzoleri (sp?) is lower amazonas, they are all described in extreme detail with pics in the scientific journal about their naming...if I had the .pdf file still I would send it your way surely someone has it though still and can send it to you, its a great read ~Trent
