I was watching a program last week about pythons being released into the wild in Florida and the damage they're doing.
Seen as these started out as pets why are snakeheads banned in the us and pythons arn't?

Sigh. One snakeheads shouldnt have been bannned. Two thhe big pythons came from hurricane damage and cant sirvive past south florida

some snakeheads can live in temperatures that go all the way to Canada (northern and giant snakehead), while the pythons would have died well before that. watch natgo and discovery channel they have some good insight into this once and a while.

giant and redline are the same thing they go trhough many morphs in their life cycle earning the red line as when they are baby they have a redline down both sides of the body.

NO ANIMAL SHOULD BE BANNED. not properly caring for the animal should be illegal though.

The program i saw was a british program called nature shocks it was on channel 5. I agree with that last comment no animal should be banned but an owners register would be a good start.

x2.

I see no point in having a register of these animals because it will make it all the easier to ban them. Stuff like this tends to start out under the guise of registration in order to prevent releasing these animals and then moves on to using said register to confiscate the animals later on down the line.

I don't see the point of this post.

Are you implying we should ban pythons?

I agree with everyone else that has posted here, no need to add anything except that imo, snakeheads have much more invasive potential than burmese pythons.
