One is a pure strain and the other isn't. Flowerhorns are hybrids and midas aren't.

No they don't. Midas (Amphilophus Citrinellus) is a pure species of fish found naturally in the wild. Flowerhorn is a hybrid fish which was made from Midas and several other fish.

Any fhs that look like midas I don't want. That would defeat the point.

`midas and flower horn are verry different fish they dont look anything like eachother other then the hump heads a midas in orange a flowerhorn has a flower line and the flower on the head
Some do look very similar,but after you see an are around flowerhorns for a while you can tell the difference in a heartbeat lol
