WHATS THE LONGEST YOU HAVE EVER KEPT ONE FISH?

I dunno about you guys buy i can't seem to keep a fish longer then 6 to 7 months ...my bleheri i'll keep alot longer then that though if they live that long, but thats only because i want to breed them... i just can't seem to pull off not getting bored of the same fish...is it just me?

I've kept an ornate bichir for 16 years and a mbu puffer for the same length of time. Lost both in a company relocation 3 years ago. The longest one now is a male FRT I've had for a little over 5 years.
