Ok, you may say they are naturally shy to humans but I tell you I would never stick my arm in a tank with them in!

My bf is keen to get them in our tank, told him if he does then there is no way that I'm helping to keep that monster tank clean, well that and its my tank ;)

I kept piranhas a while back and they were surprisingly scared of eveything bigger than them. They would hide all day long. I had 5 of them and would stick my hand in the tank all the time, but i wouldn't do it if there were more than 10 in the tank

Try stick your hand in the tank where a 10inch red bellied piranha lives at my lfs. Trust me your will lost a finger with this piranha.

Do people actually keep the blue rings??? I know a fair number keep black tip reef sharks an those have killed people in the wild.
My blue ring died more than a few years ago and I still have it somewhere in my freezer.

Palythoa toxin in Zoanthid and Palythoa polyps is deadly if untreated... (open wound in aquarium, or possibly zoanthid mucus rubbed on a filipino arrowhead... that's how magellan went out.)

Otherwise I'd go with stonefish, because I see them in LFS so often.

Depends on the type of 'stonefish' we are talking about. Some can kill.
Rhinopias species are also pretty nasty and I know a few who keep them on here.
Some jellyfish carry a harsh toxin as well, but few keep them. Same as blue rings, not many keep them.

But the really bad stuff is fairly uncommon in the pet trade. I'd say the most common fish kept that carry serious risk are freshwater stingrays and some of the venomous marine fish.

Would you say that fW Rays are more dangerous than SW Stone or Lionfish?

losing a finger is not dangerous-just dumb

ummm thinking electricity might be a winner. More people have probably seriously injured and killed themselves due to electrical issues with their tanks then the fish they keep in them. Just thowing this out, ummm now I need to name my electricity, any ideas for tank mates, I guess in this case a hybrid would be ok uh?

stingrays is the only freshwater fish that can REALLY SEND YOU TO THE HOSIPTAl. pirahnas and other PREDATORY fish will run once your hand is in the tank. but get stung my the whipping tail of a ray and your going to be in some pain for a while.
