Well, basically what the title says. Whats the most intelligent or interactive fish youve kept?
Mine would probably be my Fire eel or my Leopard Ctenopoma.
I like how i can dangle a worm outside the tank and my eel goes insane. Sometimes i think he just wants attention, usually i can pet his head a few times before he gets bored of me not having food i guess. Considering ive only had him for about a month it makes me really excited to see how he grows up. Its also neat to see him balance on his tail and look at whats going on in the room
The Leopard Ctenopoma is about the same when he sees me messing with the live brine or with some small pieces of krill in hand. Right now hes a little under 2 inches long, he'll watch the dwarf gourami in his tank eat flake food in disgust. one time he went up and took a bite of it and promptly spit it back out. He seems really interested in whats going on outside the tank though and usually seems to watch what my Ferrets are doing in the cage close to his tank.
