I know they are the same species

but if bred them together would we get half-half offspring?

I know that RCS has the same ancestory from 3 shrimp a long time ago.

So im sure any RCS we buy now are all related, so im just wanna try to avoid deformed incest shrimp

Although i'm not actually 100% sure, since this is what i once heard from an LFS' owner i know, he stated that theres a very slim chance they will cross breed... although not impossible...

I believe they are both neocaridina heteropoda shrimp along with blue pearls and snowball shrimp. They are the same species that are selectively bred for color. If you cross breed you'll end up reverting to wild colors of neocaridina which are less intense earthy colors more suited for camouflage. They might not all revert but you'll prolly have to cull the stock to maintain shrimp with better colors otherwise the colors will prolly fully revert.

www.planetinverts.com has a good compatibility chart that shows which shrimp will and will not cross bread.
