Whats the worst injury ever done to you by your fish?

Keeping monsterfish comes with a risk.

Did your fish ever hurt you bad, and how did it happen?
My handfed oscar used to draw blood, while being overly enthousiastic during feeding time .
I am allways aware of my plecs during maintenance, esp. for Harry(Check my avatar).
Now i just got a new spotted gar and intend to feed him by hand....
Need I worry?

most of us dont feed them by hand. thefishguy7 i think was the one who just got bit by his tropical gar.
 
I HAVE NERVE DAMAGE IN MY RIGHT HAND FROM MY OLD ELECTRIC CATFISH, MY OSCAR USED TO DO THE SAME THING ALONG WITH MY FLOWERHORN, BUT MY ALTOLAMPROLOGUS COMPRESSICEPTS GOES OUT OF HIS WAY TO BITE ME AND MY BIG MALE FRONT TOOK A CHUNK OUT OF MY FINGER THE OTHER DAY
 
The biggest damage mine have done to me is taking a huge chunk out of my wallet. It is an ongoing injury that I just can't seem to get control of. :(
 
Everyone saw my thread about why not to pet a lungfish that would be it.
 
It wasnt my fish personally but when I was 16 my first job was at the LFS. So one day I was cleaning all the salt water tanks for algae like any other time i have. Though this time when I was cleaning the LionFish tank I didnt look the second time I put my hand in. I looked the first time I put the scrubber in....not the second time.(I dont usually take it out...got careless)

So anyways my hand came down on top of one and I got stung by 3 of its spines on the top of my hand. Needless to say it hurt...hand swelled up...was kind of cool watching the venom go up my hand through the veins.(made them white)

So alot of hot water and bleach later and some pain...I am fine. Though I always hated cleaning that tank after and catching them to sell.

I haven't had anything major. I got barely spined by my del a while back, but it only stung.
 
I got at least twenty good pokes while collecting madtoms from a ditch. Since their body slime is the natural cure, and I was scooping them up by the handful, I never suffered the more serious effects.

My old Oscar took my thumb all the way in and rasped with his internal teeth. It was like angry fingernails. A little blood, but nothing major.

Can't think of anything else at the moment.
