Hey guys, attached should be some pictures of a fish. I want to kow the species, the guy at the fish store just called it "Ikan aneh" meaning "weird fish" and until now hasn't got a name for me, he's in my preditor tank at the moment as I figure that's what he is just really want the name of his species so I can learn more about him. He's a real mean looking bugger.

I'm sorry for the low rez photos as a camera phone is all I have to use ATM.

I think he has a lung as he seems to cruise like the other lunged fish in the tank and he's definatly a baby as he's growing fast.

Apreciate any info guys. BTW I live in Jakarta, Indonesia if that helps.

Bingo, you're a champion mate, thanks, any useful tips for this kind of fish?

I haven't personally kept them, just at work. They will for sure eat anything that even remotely fits in their mouth, but for the most part they are pretty sedentary. They are brackish but I think a lot of people keep them fresh...and they won't tolerate other gobies.

^^ I second Jessica.
I used to order them for a very low end brackish tank at the LFS. Very pretty, will happily kill a molly their own size even if they can't fit it in their mouth so a predator tank is probably good. Ours did fine with GSPs, figure 8s, and one lived with a pair of smaller knight gobies for a few months. Some were sold to go in fresh, some to brackish, never heard of any problems with them. I heard one was being kept in a bichir grow out tank.
They like a good cave or two, give them that and they seem to just eat (like pigs given the chance), mosey about and defend their cave.
They seem like they are curious fish, they liked to explore and investigate new objects as much as the puffers did but I think it was a territorial thing.
