Think there is a term or name for it but I have seen similar growths on my Jack's throughout there time with me once a year or so... goes away after a couple days and isnt anything too serious if it doesnt show up for long or too often... cant remember the name but I'm sure someone will chime in on it... wouldnt worry too much but keep an eye on it and watch your feeding... stick to a staple pellet and dont overfeed... give him a good water change I'm sure it will go away

Could be beginnings of lymphocystis. Would watch and keep the water clean. Update as it progresses.
