Not 100% sure but I think its a Walking Catfish :) If it is does yours try to jump out of the tank alot ?

I agree with Clarias but what type? It's not one of mine I saw it in an aquarium in Palma de Mallorca but nobody could tell me what it was.

Its not a Claria batrachus (Walking Catfish) it is some kind of clarias though just not sure what kind.
There are hundreds of lookalike clarias in the world so i would not even try to find the species.:irked:

By the way Walking Catfish doesnt grow to 30" :screwy: it can grow to 23" in the nature but usually doesnt grow much over 15" in hometanks.:)

:screwy: There isn't even near a hundred clarius species. Only about a dozen, most of which are distinctly different:screwy:

Well, i guess there's more if you count all of clarridae, in which case there's several dozen, but still, the species can be identified if you really want.

Could be a Heterobranchus longifilis too i suppose.

sorry meant to say dozen

Heterobranchus sp i'd say need to see adipose and dorsal really but flat head screams heterobranchus probably longifillis.:)
