What's this wolffish called?

I went to a fishstore and they had an unknown specie of wolffish, I eyeballed it at about 8-9 inches, if you look from the side of the fish, the top half is coffee brown in color, and the bottom half is all black. Based on the description do any of you know what this wolffish might be? They were selling it for $120, maybe that might help rule out the cheaper priced species.

To me it sounds like a marbled sleeper goby. I have seen them several times mislabeled as wolf fish.

Oh i see pictures of the marbled goby but thats not it, it has the body of a wolffish, the top half is brown, bottom half is black, looking at it from the side. Anyone else have ideas?

Could be a Black Wolf. They have stated that it is it's own species as of recently, but they haven't stated the name yet, that I know of. It's very hard to ID anything without a pic though, so just keep in mind that all your responses are going to be blind guesses without a pic.
