I have seen them before, but can't remember what they are. Let me check my Wurm database.

I think they're called Ompok Catfish.

Close to an Ompok but, this one is missing the tell-tale spots (O. bimaculatus) and there shouldn't be any black in the caudal.

I think this catfish is Kryptopterus cryptopterus (Malaysia, Borneo, and Sumatra)

I think they may have mentioned something to do with malaysia. You are probably right Oddball.

What the heck? Go for it! See if you can get proper keeping conditions.

Definitely k. crypto. The fish does not bear the downturned cuadual indicative of all ompok, and most siluriids in general. It you can find them, splurge...it took me nearly two years before I could find a reliable import of these fish, and now, they still rank amongst my favorites amidst fishes I've kept.
