This don't look right. These fish have been very spazzy since combining ten of them in a 125 while the 240 is being prep'd. So, they have been spooking and flying into rocks so I have not been too worried. This wound however looks funky and I am suspecting something more...

Have you added new fish to your system?

Well, this tank had three Mikula from another tank but that tank has been clean for four years.

I did add six new wild Mikula a few months ago to a 125 gallon QT tank. They are still in that tank. Earlier on, one fish had a raised scale which concerned me and I treated with Paragaurd and PraziPro and all is well today.

I do use the same buckets and Python which I clean with scalding hot water.

That's my outside exposure risks???

To me, it most resembles a plant fiber or some kind of sharp ornament possibly. It does have some resemblance to a lernia type parasite but I dont see much of an egg sac...

A friend another another site had a compreesicep have an identical "wound" after a fight. Went away in a week.

I'll watch it close.

i would give it some time and see if it resolves on its own. How is it doing?
