Hi, I just started a ten gallon freshwater with two Columbian Shark Catfish. I'm in the process of starting a 75 gallon brackish for them and thought this forum would be of great benefit. Any advise is always appreciated. So far, they're both doing just fine and I am determined to keep them healthy and happy.

So, I should start the 75 gallon as freshwater and slowly add/monitor the marine salt over a month's time, or so? From what I've gathered, an SG of 1.010 is suitable. I'm pretty new to this. I've done a lot of research and don't want to mess this up.

http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=198 visit this forum and ask away.. you will get lots of help and info... i am sure you have alot more time then a month.. i think it is more gradual then that... maybe go over a period of 15 months.. before it is 0.020..the first 6 months i would keep them in fresh... so you do have some time while they are still babies... in the wild babies are born in fresh and remain there for quite awhile... just check out the forum... :D
