I just discovered this website from some of your vid clips on you tube. Did I mention this website is awesome? :headbang2

My stats:

I'm the outdoorsy type who spends a great deal of time (when my wife allows ;)) on or in the ocean. I spend my summers working at H&M Landing Sportfishing and hold down a regular 9-5 as a Product Development Associate in the biotech industry here in sunny San Diego. I've never had a tank with fish, it's always been reptiles and frogs. But, after finding this site, I want some monster fish! I'm a total newb. so, I'll be seeking your guy's help for info on how to go about it the right way.

Chime in if you have any ??s for me. Until then, I look forward to my 1st fish related post.

Welcome!! I would suggest starting simple. Try it out first before getting to the good stuff. You may decide that the fish world is not for you. Get yourself a 20 gallon tank or smaller. You can buy a complete package from pet smart or petco or look around for a used tank. Get some fish that are easy to take care of and have fun. We are here once you get going. Your local fish store SHOULD be able to provide some suggestions on some good starter fish.

yea just do your research, get a 20 gallon and then get started.
if you like it, invest in the biggest tank you can afford

:iagree: for sure do your research, and learn as much as you can about the fish ou choose to keep, and enjoy the hobby. welcome aboard
