Just wondering what's up with my convict? It's had a white/silver eye for ages and seems to swim slightly on it's side. must be about 4 months its been like this, still eats a lot and seems not to get picked on by the other guys

Normally about 20-40% every week , theyre in a 4ft long tank (about 40g i think) with a tetratec 1200 filtering it so nicely overfilterd
it's almost certainly blind in that one eye, but that doesn't mean anything is wrong now . . . does he swim favoring the side with the good eye? it may just be a defensive reaction
if he is not getting picked on - - and if he is eating and otherwise normal - - then I'm not sure I'd advise to do anything, including salt or heat treatment

How old is your con? This seems to happen w/ old age. This happened to mine when about 9 yrs. old. He is nearly blind, but can still find food that is on the bottom. He still seems very healthy.
