Whats up with this blotchy convict?

We have three of these a pink convict and two regular ones. They all have this blotchy black stuff all over them. It looks like somene shook a pen at them at spilled the ink. Is this a particular type? Im so lost...:nilly:

I could be all wrong, but this is my theory. They look like the regular black convicts with the black spots. Pinks should have a whiter skin. Maybe I cannot determine this because of the pics. If this is the case, the black spots usually disappear when the fish start to establish dominance. Where did you get these from? I read somewhere that the black spots could be due to stress. I have purchased many like this throughout the past few years and as they mature and start breeding, they loose the black spots. If yours maintain the black spots.... man, i would so love to buy them from you because those are cool looking cons!
