hey ppl.. i've been reading about garlic and how its helps in building aros appetite.. is this a hit or a myth? I did pop in half a piece into my 4 aro tanks.. a couple of them bit it and spat it out... please let me know whats the deal behind this... thanks..

I don't think it is pieces of garlic that people use, it is the flavor and scent of garlic. For instance, people sometimes soak their non-live food in garlic to try getting a fish to eat it.

Supposedly it works.

Yup. It works for other fish also, not just Aros.

also just as simple as taking some fresh garlic and rubbing it all over the food, I dont have to soak food with garlic to get my fish to eat. all u need is a little bit of the scent for the fish. Used kind of the same way powerbait does with fishing, all about the aroma!

i heard also that it make your fish more healthy and cures some disease ...but i heard it from a friend who doesn't have fish but is full of random useless info so i am also wondering if this is true.because i don't want to give my fish anything that would harm them i just got my jardini up to snuff after his move

i don't see the point in doing it to food if the fish is eating if its that great then after some time you may need to rub every bit of food you feed to the aro

garlic is not the nicest smell to be going to work with every day on your hands i hate it so much if guys come into work smelling of it i send them home its even worse when they try to cover the smell up with after shave or deodorant
