I thougth convicts were suposed to breed like crazy. I put mt Female convict in a 10g fro breeding and she just hides. 2 days later i got a Male and all he dose is hide. Y is this. they never even come out for food

Convicts are indeed one of the easiest fish to breed; people do joke a great deal about them stating all kinds of things like they will even breed in a toiler bowl, etc. Convicts are just like any other fish, they need to get used to the new tank, they will need to pair off, and perhaps then they will start breeding.

You can not expect to drop two new fish into a new tank and expect them to breed before they even hit the water! Give them a week or two, and perhaps they will pair off and start breeding.

Make sure they have places to hide, they love PVC pipes and flower pots.

I do. I need to take a bunch of new pix. I set up a 10g breeder and completely re-did my 40g and im thinking of redoing my 100g. Plus i got a dat i need to get some pix of.

Except guppys, those little horndogs will try to breed while still in the baggy.
