Maybe it's just me but there seems to be a thread of some sort or another about this bass popping up every few days.No vendor seems to even have any currently but there is quite a bit of iterest in them,like they have become the new "it" cichla.I'm not complaining or ranting,just making an observation.Any thoughts?

You hit the nail on the head...they really aren't available at the moment so now everyone has to have one. But aside from the lack of supply, they are one of my favorite cichla in terms of aesthetics and personality.
It's certainly the fastest growing cichla that I've kept......What are you keeping these days Mike?
Gotta agree one of my favorites for sure, I have a rio negro WC tem and hes beautiful and eats everything glad i had one before the limited availability. I saw a lot a few months ago from online dealers but now i don't see anything popping up.
I'm slowly rebuilding the collection. I sold off most of my stuff a few months ago and got into the car game.
i agree since no one has them alot of people want one..i know i do..

agreed. luckily i have secured 2 Tems in my tank. its very hard to get'em these days especially in Asia, Malaysia to be specific.
