My clown loach has gotten spots all over its body, i thought it might be ick or whatever but i though that ick was white spots and these seem kinda dark.

I know exactly what you're talking about. 1/2 of my 16 Clown Loaches have those black spots but have been perfectly healthy going on 2 yrs now. Mine came with those spots but none of the ones that didn't come with it have gotten it so I don't feel its contagious.
thats good, i seperated him in a different tank since ive noticed the spots so would u say its safe to put it back into my main tank?
It's not a health issue to me. There have been claims it is caused by parasites even in silver dollars but none of this appears to have killed a fish. I'd put it back to your other clowns.
i've seen the spots on adults before..... i've always thought of it as a coloration spots as they get older.. like people would get as they get older..... (elderly people)
but your Clown looks healthy.... i dont see any sigh of ick or parasite.....
