Hello all,

Today I noticed one of my Firemouths swimming listlessly with it's mouth open and gills panting. His jaw also looks a bit crooked to me and his color has darkened. Anyone know what's going on? Picture doesn't really show what's going on.

Maybe a dislocated jaw.

This is what I was thinking too. Is there anything I can do for him? Should I move him to a 10 gal hospital tank? I feel like a dislocated jaw for a fish this size is basically a death sentence.
You can try to and gently press/massage on the mouth and try to push it back. If it doesn’t close and not able to eat then I’d euthanize the fish.
