whats wrong with my fish?

i have a sunfish and he has this blister lookin deal on his bottom lip. and somethin on some of his fins. what is it? should i quarantine? all the other fish are fine.. and the sunfish seems normal still aggressive and eats well.

Its possibel that he has a fungal infection, if this is the case look for white, cloudy looking growths comming out of these read spots. they could also be from a fight with another fish or some type of external parasite. there is medication for all of these unless he is fighting with another fish and then you might have to quarantine him..actually i would do this anyhow until you figure out what it is..

This fish is a longear sunfish.

nope, it'll look Better!

think of an oscar with all those colors and you got a green sunfish

i cant really tell if what ur talking about is an infection of just fighting scars/wounds. whats it in with?

do a couple water changes this week and add some salt to the tank. if that doesnt heal in the next week or so, i'd quarantine.

I can't tell you that I know what the fish has but I can tell you that I have a few fish with something that looks like this. All of my fish had this from a very young age and have lived a long time with it. I've not seen it spread form fish to fish and they appear healthy other than the little lumps. I call them birthmarks as a little joke.

I'd not get concerned about it personally.
