Whats wrong with my giant gourami and mono's?

Hi i am new here, but i have some qeustions about my fish. The tips of their fins are white and they are ripped(gourami and mono). The giant gourami is getting weaker. What can i treat them with? They are in a 250 gallon and i dont have a hospital tank big enough for them because i just recieved them from someone that was moving and he needed to get rid of them. Here are some pics.

Did the fish come that way? Were they in the same tank together before? What else is in your tank?
 
No they didnt, i think they have gotten it from being stressed. Now my gourami is laying on the bottom barely moving! :'(
 
The gourami was in the tank and so were the monos. I have a clown knife in there but i have been watching him and he wasnt attacking them.
 
Was the tank they were in completely fresh or brackish. I don't know about the gouramies, but monos should be in brackish. Did they have this problem when you got them?
 
Its fresh but it has 2 cartons of aqaurium salt in it. They were in fresh water for a week before we got them and they were fine. No, they didnt have this problem when i got them. They have only been here 2 days. I think they are really stressed out. What is it on their fins? I have just gotten a 40 gal. hosptial tank set up with Melafix or Mela something for them.
 
What are your water parameters?
 
Ammonia= 0.25ppm
Nitrates=5.0-10ppm
Nitrite= 0 ppm
Ph= 7.6

The ammonia and nirtates are al little high due to it being a new tank. We had to put them in there or the bigger fish in the other tank wouldve killed them.
 
Could i add coppersafe to the whole aqaurium with no plants? Would it hurt the mono's or the clown knife?
