My red sevrums belly is pitched in. I started treating with clout. I think it's an internal parasite idk what else to do. Should I add epsom salt. He is now in a quarantine tank

Ok. Dont use clout.

If you've started doing clout I'd stop. Do a water change add carbon and let that run for a day or two to get the clout out. You can even do another water change before starting another treatment.

How's the fish been eating? Notice any odd or stringy or white feces?

Looks like it could be internal parasites. If the fish is still eating what do you feed?

What are your water specs?

If your fish is still eating I'd recommend taking the food and soaking it in a mix of API general cure, Epsom salt (not aquarium salt) and garlic juice or very fine smashed garlic. Mixed with just enough water to dissolve it all. I use about a half a packet of general cure and a teaspoon of the Epsom. The API general cure has both metrodazole and praziquantel in it. Both great anti parasite meds. The Epsom salt will help the fish purge the parasites from their gut and garlic as a immune booster.

Soak that mix for roughly 30minutes and feed it. You can also treat the water with Epsom salt at a ratio of 1 tablespoon per 10 gallons. The water can also be dosed with API general cure per the instructions.

+1 on Clout. It's fine when needed but there are other meds for most conditions that are effective and easier on the fish.

Questions-- How long have you had the sev? Is it eating? Were you seeing behavior changes or other symptoms, such as fast breathing, hanging in a corner, odd feces? What do you feed?
