What's wrong with this Arowana?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Fin rot, most likely from being kept in piss poor quality water.

Would he be able to be saved and would his fins grow back and would he regain his color? I know a guy who has a Jardini that looks just as bad as this poor Arowana and I can get it from him if its savable. So sad.

I am not an expert, but I am pretty sure if you take the Jardini and give him a good home and clean water he will heal up fine. Good eats and a healthy home should heal up any issues that aren't already fatal.

If you were to get it for free and you have the proper sized tank to house it in, then yes.

I find it hard to believe that you know two different people with arowana in such sad shape. Please post pics of this jardini.

fin rot, that's a green arowana in the picture. if finrot is the only thing that's wrong with him, it should be cureable. also check to see if he has girl curl, which is harder to cure, especially when it's severe.
