I've never actually seen a male motoro over 13" so I was wondering if anyone had any and if you knew the location they came from.

My breeding male AAA Marble is only 13inch disc and at least 10 years old,i have another fully mature Marble,one of the recent imports and hes only about 11inches,he eats like a pig has plenty of room but never grows,these recent imports that keep cropping up on this forum are i believe a smaller strain of Marble from a different locality to my AAAs.
The larger males seem to come from Peru,i have seen these with a max disc of 15inches..... but rarely.

The reason I'm asking is alot of time people are told that a male can reach 24" and are buying tanks to handle this size or just not getting into rays due to the fact they can reach this size. I think we all want the best for the rays and to not have any problems with rays outgrowing there tanks but I would say the sizes we allways give people for an average is allways high and a max size is probably a myth.

my male was full grown at 13"
pat has a few males that r about 18 to 20". not sure where he got them though...

my male motoro came from columbia and is about 11" he is a little over 3 years old but has not grown in a least a year. I think in most cases they do not get very large.
However my female is from peru and is the same age and is around 18" and still growing
