whats your bill like?

That's cuz I just saw this topic.
My utilities, since I left the left coast, are 1/4 of what they were. I only have a couple of individually heated tanks. The rest are in the hatchery where I heat the room instead of the tanks. My utility bill to heat over 100 tanks runs about $120/month. It took some doing to get it that low, though.
I replaced all 19 windows with insulated double vinyl low-E windows. I added a total of 1ft of R-19 23 insulation in the attic. Plus added blow-in insulation to fill the rafters. Then laid 3/4" floor boards down to help the insulation plus give me storage space. I drilled and injected expansion foam insulation into all the outer walls. I replaced the hollow-core doors with insulated doors. All in all, it ran me about 10 grand to fully insulate my 7500+ sq/ft hatchery building. With all this insulation, my gas furnace only kicks on for 1 to 2 hours, in the coldest of winter, out of evey 24 hours.

OK

:screwy:

i only have 8 tanks but i run lights and 2 filters on each but no heaters because when i heat my house in winter it seems to keep them warm at least in the 70's. by bill only runs about $65 with no ac hot water or washer and dryer though because these eat up the $$$$

I only have 3 tanks and im only 15 so I dont know what the bill comes out to be

my electric bill is consistantly around $100 due to my lighting set up. I have the metal halide bulbs. it's quite a pain in the ass. When comparing the electric bills that I have now to the old ones, there was a $50 hike up starting from when I got the new lighting.

My bill is 3' long, hook-shaped and dark yellow. I can crack nuts with it and groom my feathers.
