Every good angler has that one special lure that some people might dismiss even though you continue to nail big fish on it. Tell us about your lucky charm!

Mine is the silver blue fox, size three spinner. Fish-painted head, with or without tail feathers. It's never failed me, and I always keep a few of them in the tackle box.

I could also say that the red and white Mepps spinner is lucky, but in my opinion its just the best lure on the market for catching big fish, so I don't think it applies to the rogue category.

Tell us your secret!

im more of a rubber worm type of fisherman like sinkos mosly never fails but when it does i go to a gold or chartuse broken back rapala or top water heddon torpedo iv got many or diffrent lures but those three usally produce if the others dont

oh for me def my lead lure that looks like a fish with no head. i caught a 16 inch bullhead that weighed in at nearly 3 pounds. my grandpa was teaching me how to cast and i kept getting snags, when the catfish got on he told me it was just a snag and to quit reeling in cause i would break the line, good thing i reeled in the line cause now i got a great story.
that or the little rubber whirlygigs that look like tadpoles. i caught an albino rainbow trout using a green one with black spots.

baby minus one crank bait. it rattles and has irratic action that drive the summer bass wild. get some really aggresive strikes on it. night fishing i like a black buzz bait and also some 10 inch power worms in the morning, chartreuse and watermelon, but usually a chartruese and white 1/4 ounce spinner is the go to when everything else is failing.

Depends on the fish I'm fishing for.

Bass=blue black yamamoto senko
catfish=chicken liver, aged to perfection...
trout=spotted red devils

I got a 7" mid level cheap knock off brand Rapala horribly painted like a rainbow trout. For whatever reason, it nails the big walleye when I'm trolling along the bays. Biggest I got was a 42" walleye with it. I finally ended up putting it on one of my mounts to show the walleye chasing it.

Blue Fox- Vibrax Foxtail , white foxtail with a slash of red.

Usually use the 3 oz for everything from trout to bass to pickerel, and use a 4 oz. strictly for pike.

I found this lure about 10 years ago and swear by it. It's my go-to-lure for catching anything. It's flashy and 99% of fish can't let it pass by without striking at it. It's also super responsive with weeds (but not weedless) ripping through most and not catching up on them.

Your post is right on the money!!

The spinny was working very well until the water temps got so high. Now the crank bait is top dog around here. Im also doing very well on the bottom with jigs and chatter baits with a creature bait trailor!!

Great post!!!
