I take it we all know about Swine Flu? Well what do you think about it?

Do you think its gonna get way out of hand? Gonna be able to control it? Nod that bad? Or really Bad?

Ive read that if it survives the summer then it will hit us hard in the autumn, since viruses do better in rainy climates.

its a hoax. ive been covering my nose and mouth with my hands for the past few months when im outside. im even better now than before. its just a cover up so people can buy meds and masks due to the bad economy.

Well apparently, here in melbourne we are creating an Anti virus, which could be behind the counter in august at the earliest.

There was 10 cases in Aus last week about the flu, now its risen to over 200+, "Experts" are saying it will soon be 4 million in Aus.

It seems odd that after soo much non stop news coverage and media hysteria that I dont see or hear much mention of it anymore.

in my state, Arizona, i know of only two deaths here and i think only a handfull in the US. an antivirus would be very helpful though..... it would calm people down and give them a sense of security

The media blows things out of proportion - swine flu ect. has killed less people than the common flu that's been around for years annually.

the swine flu virus is more dangerous than regular flu because it is a new virus and not just a mutated form like the regular flu virus people get immunised against every winter.we dont even have partial immunity from it like we do with regular flu so our bodies cant fight it off as effectively hence the higher death toll.
its gonna be the usual suspects that get hit hardest; weakened immune systems, kids, elderly, etc.
it responds well to an anti-viral called tamiflu so there is really little need to worry IMO. if it was that bad we would have had a brief about it (im military).

Not bad at all. People are just freaking out because it's something they haven't seen before, and it also doesn't help that the media exaggerates thing a ton. Some people will worry about it for a while, but then it'll all blow over and nobody will even remember it. It's happened before, it'll happen again.
