Id keep the setup if your tank has enough movement and bio capability which im sure it does. You do not want to have to start over your cycle removing your canisters.
the xp3 is 350gph .....so 350+350= 700
the fx-5 is 925gph
So, flow-wise the fx-5 is better than 2 xp3's.
One advantage of the 2 xp3's is that if one went went to crap, you would still have one running.
Although, you shouldn't have any trouble with the fx-5 for a long time.
I would go with the fx-5, better flow and you only have to clean out one canister not two!
