Whats your ray behavior during water changes?

This there a standard healthy ray reaction or does it just depend on the ray itself?

Does it hide? Bury itself? Stay still? Attack your siphon? Go ape $h!T? etc.

:stingray:

happy... mine LOVES it. He gets all stoked and especially loves when the freshwater is coming in (fillup)... he swims around under the current blowing the gravel hunting for food.

In fact, my ray absolutely NEVER hides EVER. The first few months I had her she would bury herself in the gravel sometimes, but not anymore. FYI, she's a humerosa

My ray's very active when i do water change. And when the new water comes in, he would play w/ the current.

like normal.. they would eat in the middle of the water change even.
i just make sure the temp is the same and that the tap water is aerated.

My ray loves to play in the current when I fill the tank back up but I am worried that a direct blast from the tap will not be good for him. Of course the temp is the same.

Mine usually hide in the sand.

my new ray hides...hope its comfortable enuf to play in the water stream one day!

mine would bugg and swim like theres no tommrow... most of them would try to throw them slef out of the water LOL
