I was reading that fahakas are only harvested during certain times in Africa. Does anyone know when more will become available in the US? All of my local fish stores say they cant get them this time of year.

I started seeing them in March. That was when I got mine. Almost all my lfs had them in March-June.

actually the season is right now, just picked mine up yesterday, cute little 4 inch guy. They had 5 more of them, naturally all in separate tanks but nows is the time

I as well just got mine. Little one incher this past weekend...they said that he had been in the store for about a week.

The owner at my lfs store told me that Mbu's and Fahakas are in season, but I remember seeing Fahaka's were more abundant around March like I said above. Im starting to see Mbu's.

Finally got my Fahaka Dec, 24. The lfs ordered him for me and they ordered him out of Florida. They told me mine was the only one they had. So got lucky on that buy. Good luck on finding one but might try doing what I did. Ask any lfs's if they can order one and might get a bitter chance getting one when they are looking for one for you rather hoping you see one in a lfs.

Ooooopppss, I must had read over your other post. Did not know you already got one...lol. My bad, sorry bout that.
