Ok, i know i'm asking this a little early, but my boys are growing at a good rate and i figure they will be able to start eating live fish within the next few months.

My 3 guys were the size of a dime back in april and now they are probably pushing 3 inches......

but...is there a set time when you are supposed to begin feeding live food?

I would think live brine shrimp, black worms, and small guppies would work. New to pirahnas myself, but IMO that should be fine.

I got my three in March at about dime size as well, they just started eating live minnows about 4 weeks ago, when they got around 2.5". Surpirisingly enough they lived with a rosie red goldfish for the first three monthes. It ate the frozen bloodworms that they ate, and sometimes even chased the little piranha's around. lol. well, one day he was gone, and they'll eat any goldfish I put in there from that point on.

when they have teeth!i have had them eat 2" goldfish at .5"
