I have four p. motoro pups - 15 days old - my first litter :) It's my plan to sell them to new perfect homes but I was wondering when it's okay for them to leave? They're going in their own tank and they're all eating and swimming around. Actually I haven't seen so active rays before - it's so cute!

So when are they old / big / whatever enough to get out into their new homes? :)

PeterRogl: That makes sense to me too! :) Thanks for your answer. How old are they usually when you sell them then?

I sell at 2 months plus. I want to make sure they are stabilized as well as eating well and have gained some strength. At 15 days they are just getting settled and the stress of a move could set them back IMO.

It's depends on who you are selling them to

If they are feeding well
If the buyer has kept new born pups before
how long they will be in transit
New born pups will do better if they are fed 2-3 small means per day

I wouldn't move them before 3 weeks old

If the new buyer has never kept new born pups before then I wouldn't let them go before 1 month old

If they are being shipped by air I wouldn't let them go before 2 months old as a ray in transit for more than 15 hours should not eat for 48 hours before being packed and a pup younger than 2 months can't go that long without food

This all depends on the size the pups were born at to
