When can you be sure a barred midas is barred

I look at all the juvies and they have bars. I saw one today that was like 3 and a half inches and it was barred and had some deep red on the fins.

But will this guy just grow up and turn orange?

I want one like ruck fules!!!!

Or one that yellow like my blood parrot.
 
Buy one from a reputable source that is the only "sure" way to go about this.......

Where you at? I have some Chancho fry right now (biggest barred midas). if you're in SOCAL, I'll hook you up free of charge.
 
Ha, yeah its hard gettin fish here. you think gas prices are high, rocket fuel is rediculous.

We are going to invade jupiter though, they have all the fuel.

Yeah I don't live in socal though. I live more near st louis. it sucks because I am equally far away from each coast. And thats where all the water is and all the fish live in the water.

ruck fules, I really really realy really do love your fish though, I was ecstatic when I saw the pics today.

I thought I had a barred midas, got him at around 3":

Too bad he won't stay like this, he looks really cool with the black back and highlights on his scales.....

wow thats a fantastic array of colors for one to go through. Its like a different fish. Both are nice though.
