it all depends, some i can tell at 2" others maybe 4".... post a pic for better ideas

i only have a phone for pics right now but from what i have read he seems to be male. i say this because he is really silver on the bottom and has many dots all over his body. from what i read and have seen females are usually yellowish and have stripes instead of dots. please tell me if im wrong on any of this or ie misunderstood what i read.
