When did you get your first monster???

Hey all i was just wondering when you all got your first monster and what it was? i got 3 bala sharks and 2 pictus pim cats(not normally monsters but they killed 1 bala shark, 1 dragon goby, 4 tiger barbs, and multiple anglefish and rainbow fish) when i was 7. And a clown knife when i was 9. i no longer have any of them. a feeder guppy brought a parasite into the tank and wiped out everyone. know lets hear some of yours...

i was born into a house with a 8x3x3 aro tank, they got rid of it when i was 8, by 12 i was keeping o's and so it escalated....

5 1/2 years ago i was sold a blue gourami at 2 1/2" for a 29gal tank, It turned out to be a Giant gourami. 5 tanks and 5 1/2 years later hes about 27" and the best fish ever...
