Ive had a 30 gallon tank going for a very very long time my dad bought it atleast 20 years ago along with everything..a filter, stand, gravel, heater. We keep the tank in exellent condition and water very clear. But lately the water has been very cloudy. i dont overfeed my fish, i only have a small EBJD and a small Delhezi Bichir in that tank. Could it be that the filter is shot?

Without the basic info such as whats your NitrAte, NitrIte, Ammonia, water change schedule + feeding its hard to say what might be going on???

well yes sorry i did check nitrites, nitrates, ammonia, and chlorine. the nitrite and nitrate were high but fixed that as well as ammonia. everything is fine now though..

I would wonder why a tank that has been running for such a long time would show any Nitrite levels?????
