They've been free swimming for 3 days now. Is it too early to take them away from mom and dad? I have a 20-long cycled and ready to accept babies whenever.

:help2:

Thanks in advance to anyone who has experience with breeding Festae.

when ever you feel like it, i would leave them in for atleast a week but you can take them out when ever

best thing to do is take half and half so leave half with the parents and half in the 20 .. it helps guarentee that ull have fry left

This is what I always do. This is possibly the best way to do it.

If your fry in the 20L die out, you still got 50%.

But if your fry with the parents get eaten, you still got your 20L fry.

Ok cool, that's what I'll do. I'll give them until tomorrow and remove about 50% into the 20L. That'll be their 5th free swimming day. I'm scared I'm going to wake up and find them all eaten.
