I was wondering when jags start to get there patters because mine still has polka dots all over. I would also like to know when they get to there breeding aggression age. Mine is deffinatly starting to get more aggressive at 9 months and 7 inches. The aggression thing doesnt really matter but i want to know when they go from polka dots to the complex patterns that i see on the big boys

My guy is about the same age as yours and is still dressing in drag. I'm starting to wonder if he'll ever take of the lipstick and high heels. If I hadn't vented him, I'd think he was a girl.

My male only just turned to the nice jaguar spots a few weeks ago at 8-9". Dont know how old he is, bought him at 5". But it just happened one day. One day he was colored up and had the thick black stripe. The next day his colors flared up and he was all nice black spots and never went back.

IT DEPENDS ON A FEW FACTORS....TANKMATES (DOES HE FEEL THREATENED), SUBSTRATE/BACKGROUND COLOR, HIS SEXUAL MATURITY, AND HIS GENES. SOME SPOT UP EARLIER THEN OTHERS THOUGH. MINE DIDNT SPOT UP TILL HE WAS 6-7" AND EVERYONE SAID HE WAS A GIRL FOR THE LONGEST.

My Jag's pattern changed from the line to spots as soon as I gave him his own tank, he was the boss of the old tank so I don't think it is to do with stress but the change was almost overnight!!
