When Do RTCs?

Hey ppl.. jus a quick question.. when do rtcs start getting the red in their tail.. below are two videos of my rtc.. the first vid is from before i picked him from my lfs.. the second vid is 3 weeks later and he sure has bulked up but the red? when does it usually start colouring.. do let me know.. cheers..

shrimp helps them get the red tail and when they get bigger they got more red

Mine's been eating mostly shrimp to help his color & growth, at about 7" his tail is now a rusty maroon-ish color.

hey guys, thanks for replying.. I feed him blood worms, earth worms, shrimp and squid now.. will go on massivore delight as part of this mix soon..

@killerfahaka - ha ha ha and the neighbourhood i live is supposedly one of the calmest in my city.. ya that day was unusual honkin and traffic around my place..

my previous ones tails got red when they grew to about 14" in length.

they were fed high protein diets to help with the bright red color.
